Why Use a Ryedale Sorter?     

The Ryedale Apprentice Penny Sorter can accurately and quickly sort copper alloy cents from the zinc variety, and in Canada it also removes the steel based variety.  This machine eliminates the tedious task of hand sorting, and checking each coin by its date.  This machine is used by serious investors taking advantage of one of the best base metal coin opportunities since the removal of silver alloy in our coinage in the 60’s.

How does the Ryedale Sorter work?

The Ryedale coin sorter uses a device that compares the metal content of the moving coin, against the metal content of a sample coin being held in the discriminator device.  If the moving coin “looks” or “matches” the electronic signature of the sample coin it is accepted, if it does not, it is simply rejected.
